Ust-Kubinskiy municipal local lore museum
Ust-Kubinskiy municipal local lore museum was opened in 1995. The museum is located in the building of the former stone church of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ built in 1890. The museum is one of the cultural centers of the municipality, its visiting card.
Ust-Kubinskiy municipal local lore museum was founded on the basis of Ust-Kubinskiy municipal museum of history and ethnography. It consists of the municipal local lore museum and a branch «Nikolskiy park» (manor’s park of the landowners the Mezhakovs of the 18th century). The total area of the museum is 148 sq.m. including 110 sq.m. of exposition space. The area of the branch «Nikolskiy park» is 12 hectares. The park was laid in the 80-s of the 18th century. To the experts opinion it is one of largest well-preserved manor’s park in Vologda Oblast. In the park there are more than 5 thousand trees including 300 patriarchal ones.
The basic stock of the museum makes 2582 units.
Exhibition activity is one of the priority spheres of the museum activity.

• Local glassware of 19-20th century;
• History of boat-building;
• Monuments of ancient Russian art of 18-19th centuries;
• Articles of everyday life, traditional female costume of Kadnikov district of 19-20th centuries.
