Chamber Orchestra of the Vologda Philharmonic Society gave concerts in Oslo, Norway
The Chamber Orchestra of the Vologda Philharmonic Society gave concerts in Oslo on September 11-17 at the invitation of Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, a leading Norwegian pianist, president of the Oslo Grieg Society and the Norwegian Music Academy.
Last October Einar Steen-Nøkleberg arrived in Vologda to give a concert at the Vologda Philharmonic Society. His international career has included repeated solo recitals in London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Moscow, Mexico City, New York, Hamburg and Copenhagen. He toured the USA and the former Soviet Union several times. Among his chamber music partners is Moscow’s cellist Alexander Zagorinsky and Vologda’s cellist Alexander Loskutov. They joined Einar Steen-Nøkleberg to perform in Vologda a year ago.
