Russian North State Folk Music, Song and Dance Ensemble from Vologda Region received the Audience Award at V TEREM CROSSOVER International Music Competition
The 5th TEREM CROSSOVER International Music Competition was held in St. Petersburg, Russia on October 22-26 with the support of the Government of St. Petersburg.
The competition is open to instrumental, vocal, as well as mixed ensembles of 3 to 8 members from any country or region, without age limits.
This competition, held between professional musicians, is not limited to traditional genres. Participants are free to choose their own repertoire, combining their own musical styles and trends. The competition is judged by musicians, composers, and leading managers and producers from Russia, Europe, Asia and America.
The Russian North State Folk Music, Song and Dance Ensemble is the first professional folk art troupe in the Vologda Region which performs the 'pure' folk culture of northwest Russia. Its mission is to reinterpret the rituals and traditions of these people.
