National Library of Russia hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding certificates for participants of the national tourist project “Silver necklace of Russia”
Vologda and Veliky Ustyug were awarded these certificates on February 9th. They are part of a new tourist route covering the area around St. Petersburg, aptly called the Silver Necklace.
Silver Necklace of Russia is implemented with an active support of the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Federal Tourism Agency.
Silver Necklace of Russia is a unique tourism product consisting of chain of routes crossing ancient Russian cities with unique historical and cultural heritage of Northwest Russia. This route is being presented as an alternative to the popular Golden Ring.
The Silver Necklace of Russia is a tourist project across 11 regions of the Russian Federation. It covers the territories of Leningrad, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, Pskov, Novgorod regions, Saint Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia and the Komi Republic, Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
