Three museums of Vologda Region participated in Intermuseum 2018, one of the biggest events presenting a cross section of the world’s museums
Intermuseum 2018 International Museum Festival took place on May 31 – June 3 in Moscow. 425 museums from all over Russia, the CIS and Europe participated in the international museum festival in Moscow.
The structure of the Intermuseum includes expositions from various Russian and international museums, competitions, business and cultural events, including a program for children.
The Intermuseum Festival, first held in 1999, is now the main event of the museum calendar in Russia. This unique cultural space attracts attention of professionals and visitors. Over the years of its existence, «Intermuseum» serves the professional development of museums in Russia, forming a representation of the traditions and new trends, practices and technologies in the modern museum.
This year, the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum, the Museum of Architecture and Ethnography in Semyonkovo and the Veliky Ustyug State Historical Art and Architecture Museum presented their best practices and projects within the framework of Intermuseum. The Museum of Architecture and Ethnography in Semyonkovo won the Museum Flagman nomination category.
