It is this passionate love for life and determined the relentless quest for them new tools and techniques to express it.
The Honoured Artist of Russia Mikhail Kopyev about creativity Oleg Pakhomov: «Probably, it is possible to tell, that to one of the main qualities of creativity of this artist, be it a picture, the sketch to performance or a museum exposition, statement of product is. Pakhomov – the artist carefully thinks over and verifies each work. If the museum or performance thematically, anyhow, set emotional tone in products of painting Oleg Pakhomov chooses a liked inhabitancy. It is a romantic landscape wh ere the author invites the spectator to contemplate reflection about time, a nature, about left and present now. Pakhomov - the artist gravitates to that reminds of those who admired the landscape represented many years back and we, together with the artist we reflect on the existence in these places and this «conversation from apart» is represented to me by very valuable quality of products Pakhomov. The artist if to speak about temperament of painting, it is represented to me by the person inclined to not strengthen the invoice, and aspires to steadiness of all elements, even when instead of a liked quiet condition of a nature, something is represented more dynamical.
Very interesting that value which the artist gives a shadow, in my opinion, sees. Shadows in landscapes Pakhomov is sometimes the main characters of a picture. Immersing in an evening shadow trees, ponds, paths, the artist creates the romantic environment and the mysterious silent life. To a certain extent these advantages are crossed with tradition of «Mir iskusstva» («The World of Art») and is not casual, that the artist frequently working with Russian manor as the author of a museum, scoops an alive material and for the painting wh ere his reflections about communication of times proceed in new and necessary quality for us».
The artist liked delicate, exquisite combination of colors and pastel gentle and restrained and earthy, full-scale, which often includes mauve and purple shades and nuances. Pastels, in which the artist has worked for the past few years, could not be better suited for sketching his impressions.
Important place in his Pakhomov held in Vologda and Vologda region. It was here that he travels a lot, constantly writes from life, knowing that without the knowledge of the laws of nature, everyday work cannot be great art. Work in the open air became for him a genuine school of painting, and allowed to reveal their sense of color, and to identify priority themes in the works. Referring to the painting, Oleg Pakhomov pretty quickly outlined the terms of his favorite themes and images: the northern rural landscape, the white stone temples, snow-covered home. Rare creative individuality, originality of plastic and shaped thinking allowed the artist to become a distinctive landscape painter.
Versatility, originality, open-mindedness, love of the world can be seen in all the artistic heritage Pakhomov: theatrical sketches and scenery, in museum exhibitions and easel paintings, portraits and still lifes.
