Celebratory Events devoted to the
70th-anniversary fr om Valery Gavrilin's birthday ended with presentation
of the film-project « Valery Gavrilin. All in Life is Music » in Saint
Petersburg, Vologda and Moscow
In the Russian musical life 2009 has passed in the atmosphere of the
70th-anniversary from the birthday of the outstanding Russian composer,
the national actor of RSFSR, the winner of the State premiums of the
USSR and RSFSR Valery Aleksandrovich Gavrilin. Celebratory events began
with the Days of memory of the composer in January, 2009 and have
adequately come to the end with the presentation of the film-project «
Valery Gavrilin. All in life is music » in Saint Petersburg, Vologda and
Moscow in January - February, 2010.
The film-project including documentary film « Valery Gavrilin. All in
life is music » and unique materials of the chronicle of V Gavrilin
Russian musical festival which took place in Saint Petersburg in October,
2009, was created within the framework of the project « Gold names of
Russia » under the order of the Vologda Oblast Government and the
Vologda Oblast Department of Culture and Protection of Objects of
Cultural Heritage. The project group « Producer movie centre of the
Vologda Oblast » included: winners of the State premium of the Russian
Federation in Literature and Arts, the N.Rubtsov All-Russia literary
award « the Star of fields », members of the Union of cinematographers
of Russia such as film director Dmitry Chernetsov and cameraman Michael
Makarov, the art director the winner of the N.Rubtsov All-Russia
literary award « the Star of fields » Marina Barysheva.
In Saint Petersburg wh ere Valery Aleksandrovich had lived the most part
of his life and created the best compositions, on January, 28 on the day
of his memory in the House of composers there was a premier of the film
« Valery Gavrilin. All in life is music ». Our fellow countrymen took
part in the cultural program of the evening. Among them were soloists of
the theatre « Saint Petersburg Opera » Elena Tikhonova and Sergey
Kalinov. Ivan Anatolyevich Pozdnyakov, the first deputy Governor of the
Vologda Oblast has resumed anniversary events which were held on the
Vologda Land and presented the film-project.
The bust to the composer (sculptor Yu.V. Evgrafov) was opened on
February, 1, on his native land in Vologda. It was followed by the
display of the film-project. To the opening ceremony from Saint
Petersburg there arrived composer's widow Natalia Evgenyevna Gavrilina.
Valentina Vasilyevna Ratsko, the head of the Vologda Oblast Department
of Culture and Protection of Objects of Cultural Heritage congratulated
everybody to this significant event too. The film-presentation was
accompanied with Gavrilin's music performed by the Male chamber chorus
of the Vologda regional philharmonic society under A.Mishin's management.
On February, 5, anniversary events in Moscow in the Vologda Oblast
Representative Office at the President of the Russian Federation and the
Government of the Russian Federation came to the end with big success.
In the presentation of the film-project « Valery Gavrilin. All in life
is music » there also took part deputy head of the Vologda Oblast
Department of Culture and Protection of Objects of Cultural Heritage
Vera Dmitrievna Ilyashenko. Vocal compositions of the composer were
performed by the Honoured actress of Russia Lyubov Isaeva who used to
work once with Valery Gavrilin. Also there was opened a photo-exhibition
« I come from here … », named after V.A.Gavrilin's composition. The
exhibition reflects the space of the composer that inspired his creative
work. It is his native land - the Vologda land. The author of this
photo-exhibition is the camera man of the film and pictorialist Mikhail
Makarov.
The events devoted to the 70th-anniversary from the birth of
V.A.Gavrilin passed in more than 16 cities of Russia, having united the
cultural space with the music by this remarkable composer who was born
on the Vologda Land. The film about Valery Aleksandrovich's life and
creativity, as well as his music, make us fall to thinking about the
destiny of Russia, about the future of the Russian culture. The creative
work of the composer possesses the main quality distinguishing original
classics - and that is urgency.
