Markus Duffner (Italy), one of VOICES' new programmers briefed on the fifth edition of the international festival of young European cinema that will take place in Vologda, Russia, from July 4th to 8th 2014. The 2014 edition will feature a focus on British cinema, in the framework of the United Kingdom – Russia Year of Culture. Festival goers will have the opportunity to see an interesting programme of British films, as well as to attend different master classes and round-tables with industry professionals (the full programme will be announced in May). VOICES has become a unique meeting place for the youngest European filmmaking generation, gathering ten first or second films from all across Europe in its official competition section, and selecting a wide array of titles for the parallel sections (such as Europe Express, and the genre-film-dedicated Midnight Screening).
