The Sergey Andriyaka Moscow State Specialized School of Water color came to Vologda

Water color Festival

An unusual exhibition opened in the halls of the Picture gallery on January, 30. The Sergey Andriyaka Moscow State Specialized School of Water color with the exposition «the Master and the pupil» came to Vologda. The visitors can see about three hundred works executed in water color, among which pictures by the school art director, artists - teachers and pupils.

The Sergey Andriyaka school of painting is the only one in Russia professionally engaged in training water color technique. Its students get bases of professional art education and continue training in HIGH SCHOOLS, and also take prize-winning places in various competitions of the state and international level. This year the School celebrates a small anniversary - 10 years. For this time it's become known not only in Russia, but also abroad. The distinctive feature of the School is the technique of presentation - the teacher carries out all tasks together with pupils. The main peculiarity of water color technique is that the artist paints without a pencil and to correct something is difficult, and the basic role in the sketch belongs to the background due to which all the work «shines». For the artist practicing this technique as Sergey Andriyaka admitted, it is important to be able to imagine the final result.

The following step in development of the School is the opening of the higher educational institution - Academy of water color and fine arts, where teachers from different parts of the countries can study to then organize in their cities similar schools.

One more direction of work of the School of water color is exhibition activity. In the School building you have an opportunity to see pictures by the artists of the XVIII - the beginning of the XX century from the funds of various museums of the country. This project is named «Masterpieces of museum collections». Recently the School of water color has actively developed the program of regional mobile exhibitions. Last year they visited more than 60 cities of Russia.
